A Merchant ID will be required to applying for a Credit Card Merchant Account.
To set up a Merchant ID, you will be required to provide the following information:
- Department name
- Department business and compliance contact with oversight authority
- Business contact’s email address
- Departmental physical delivery address
- Telephone number
- Fax number
- List of credit card companies that will be accepted
- Statement justifying the need to accept cards
- Account number for income
- Account number for fees and charge backs
- Type of merchant account (retail, phone/mail or Internet
- Technical Contact (this would also be contact for scanning)
